The Private Cloud Network Architect will be responsible for architecture, design, implementation and optimization of network infrastructures supporting private cloud environments. We are seeking a highly skilled Private Cloud Network Architect with expertise in cloud network fabric Infrastructures and will play a critical role in modernizing network infrastructure with a focus on cloud-native networking approaches. This role requires a deep understanding of data center and cloud interconnectivity, network troubleshooting, and the ability to work on complex network issues. Passionate about infrastructure automation through software together with solid hands-on experience of network automation.
Responsibilities
+ Lead architect responsible for designing and developing scalable and highly available global private cloud environments incorporating security, performance, scalability and compliance to meet the organizations business needs.
+ Private cloud network architecture and vision, ensure specific components are appropriately designed and leveraged.
+ Design and implement Cloud Network as a Service (CNaaS) and alternative technologies and architectures in relation to Consolidated Communications' infrastructure needs.
+ Drive the adoption of cloud based network segmentation and policy enforcement
+ Manage complex activities simultaneously to short timescales.
+ Develop scripts and processes to test, deploy and validate changes across all network infrastructure as code, leveraging Ansible and other approved corporate automation and orchestration platforms.
+ Develop state of the art technology appropriate to deliver stable and scalable technical solutions.
+ Collaborate with stakeholders to develop consensus, drive results, and execute projects across the organization on time and within budget.
+ Develop and maintain standards and designs for network architecture.
+ Articulate design rationale, flexibly adapt solutions, and iterate designs when required.
+ Work closely with senior management, and network engineering and operations teams.
+ Act as an escalation engineer for high severity network related production issues, work with engineers and various vendors to identify tactical and strategic solutions.
Requirements
+ Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, or related field, such as Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent experience.
+ 10+ years of proven experience designing, deploying, and managing large-scale multi-vendor enterprise networks, project delivery with focus on performance optimization and scalability.
+ Network and Cloud certifications or equivalent are required.
+ Network Automation and infrastructure as code (Ansible, Python, etc.) a plus.
+ Expert level knowledge of IP Networking, Routing protocols (OSPF, ISIS, BGP), SDN (Cisco ACI, Arista Spine, NSX-T etc.), Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) and Secure Access Service Edge (SASE).
+ Public Cloud network experience (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a must.
+ Architect, design, and implement AWS cloud network solutions to support business requirements, including VPCs, subnets, route tables, NAT gateways, transit gateways, and direct connect
+ Strong understanding of modern network paradigms – SDN, SD-WAN, CNaaS and Cloud native connectivity models.
+ Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD, Jenkins, Git)
+ Analyzing, gathering, and auditing large-scale and complex data sets to uncover new trends and patterns that influence architecture direction.
+ Deep knowledge on network management and monitoring platforms.
+ Recommend network improvements, including cost/benefit analysis, to meet changing business requirements.
+ Plan large-scale projects through vendor comparison and cost studies.
+ Sharp troubleshooting faculties, deductive reasoning, and careful attention to detail.
+ Independent and self-directed work ethic when participating in a collaborative environment.
+ Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
+ Dedicated commitment to service availability and quality user experience.
+ Must be results driven with a strong sense of urgency.
The base salary range for this position in Jersey City, NJ, is $160,000 - $184,000. In addition, the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
