    Duties Description A Grounds Construction Supervisor supervises and schedules the work of construction crews at Central New York Psychiatric Center.Supervision and inspection of construction projects to assure adherence to specifications, contracts, and good work standards.Researching and respond to inquiries from contractors concerning construction and contract interpretations.Review, approve, process, and maintain construction records, progress schedules, orders on contract, and contract payments.Prepare interim and final inspection reports.Review and maintain time and material records, purchase construction office and safety supplies, and process construction contract correspondence.

     

    Minimum Qualifications Non-competitive: Two years of experience* assisting in the management of the building construction phase for medium to large construction projects from the inception to completion in the areas of cost estimating, document coordination review, adherence to building codes, construction planning/scheduling, contract document reading and interpretation, and construction inspection.*Substitution: An associate’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, architecture, architectural technology, or construction technology substitutes for two years of experience.
