As a **Security Officer - Retail Mall Patrols** in **Santa Clara, CA** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to create a secure and welcoming environment at a premier retail location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the property, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to guests and staff. You will be expected to communicate clearly and professionally, respond promptly to incidents, and use technology such as computers or tablets as part of your daily duties. This position requires a valid driver's license in the job state, as you may be responsible for driving as part of your patrols. What You’ll Do:

+ Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

+ Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education

+ Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams

+ Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service

+ Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

+ Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.

+ Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel.

+ Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits within the retail environment.

+ Support loss prevention efforts by maintaining a visible presence and reporting any irregularities.

+ Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

+ A valid driver’s license in the job state is required for driving positions only.

+ Possession of a state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ Loss prevention experience is preferred.

+ Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 plus years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
