Friedman Real Estate is seeking aBusiness Development Professionalto help expand our footprint across more than 20,000,000 square feet of managed commercial and facilities management assets throughout the Midwest—including Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, Wisconsin, and Ohio.
We already have a well-established management and brokerage office in the Chicagoland area, and this role will join an existing, experienced team to support continued growth in the region and beyond.
About the Role:
As a key member of our business development team, you’ll be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and securing new commercial property management and facilities management opportunities across office, retail, industrial, and multifamily sectors.
What You’ll Do:
+ Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies aligned with company growth goals
+ Proactively identify and engage with commercial real estate owners to promote Friedman’s full suite of property and facility management services
+ Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospects using a CRM system to track outreach, follow-ups, and deal progress
+ Represent Friedman at industry events, networking functions, and client meetings
+ Lead development of tailored proposals and presentations in collaboration with internal teams
+ Stay informed on market trends and competitor activity throughout the Midwest region
+ Provide input into marketing strategies and campaigns that support business development efforts
+ Expand Friedman’s footprint through new property management and facilities management contracts
+ Monitor RFP listing services for relevant opportunities, interpret RFP requirements, develop bidding strategy, and lead proposal submissions
What We’re Looking For:
+ 3+ years of experience in commercial real estate, preferably in property or facility management, or business development
+ Strong knowledge of office, retail, industrial, and multifamily asset classes
+ Proven ability to build relationships and close new business with private owners, private equity firms, and banks
+ Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
+ Proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g., MS Dynamics 365 or other similar systems)
+ Based in or willing to travel regularly to the Chicagoland area and surrounding Midwest markets
