The Sales Supervisor is responsible for the direct supervision, development, and performance management of Inside Sales Account Managers. This role focuses on driving team performance through coaching, accountability systems, and operational support while ensuring consistent execution of sales processes and achievement of revenue goals.
Essential Job Functions
Team Leadership and Development
+ Directly supervise 6-8 Inside Sales Account Managers, providing daily coaching and guidance
+ Conduct weekly one-on-one meetings with each team member to review performance, obstacles, and development needs
+ Lead weekly team meetings focused on goal achievement, best practice sharing, and process improvement
+ Develop and implement individual development plans for each team member based on strengths and growth areas
+ Provide real-time coaching through call monitoring, pipeline reviews, and customer interaction observation
+ Mentor team members on consultative selling techniques, account expansion strategies, and customer relationship management
+ Support career advancement planning and internal promotion opportunities
Performance Management and Accountability
+ Monitor and analyze individual and team performance against established sales goals and KPIs
+ Conduct monthly performance reviews and quarterly formal evaluations
+ Implement performance improvement plans when necessary and track progress toward goals
+ Ensure team adherence to CRM data entry standards, response time requirements, and administrative processes
+ Review and approve pricing decisions within established authority limits
+ Address performance issues promptly and document corrective actions as needed
+ Recognize and celebrate individual and team achievements to maintain motivation and engagement
Sales Operations and Process Management
+ Ensure consistent execution of sales processes across the team
+ Monitor lead assignment and follow-up compliance (24-48 hour response standard)
+ Review and approve account assignment requests and realignment recommendations
+ Oversee territory management and account distribution among team members
+ Collaborate with Customer Service, Operations, and Shipping to resolve customer issues escalated by team members
+ Maintain knowledge of pricing policies, promotional programs, and product offerings to support team decision-making
+ Generate and analyze sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics for leadership review
Strategic Support and Communication
+ Participate in sales leadership meetings and contribute to strategic planning initiatives
+ Communicate company goals, priorities, and changes to the team effectively
+ Provide feedback to senior leadership on team performance, market conditions, and improvement opportunities
+ Support implementation of new sales initiatives, tools, and training programs
+ Collaborate with Marketing team on lead quality assessment and conversion optimization
+ Represent the sales team in cross-functional projects and initiatives

Employees receive paid time off from day one, including 80 hours of vacation time (prorated based on the start date for the first year) and 40 hours of personal time. After the first full year of employment, eight additional hours of vacation are granted annually.
