Northrop Grumman has an opening for a **Human Resources Assistant 3** to join our Aeronautics Systems HR organization, a team that is critical to the sector’s success and the development of a positive workplace culture. This position is located in **Palmdale, CA** and will be **based on-site, in-office.**
In this role, you will provide HR Assistant support to the Aeronautics Systems (AS) Sector, Human Resources team in support of our Operations organization. You will work on a variety of projects, in addition to your administrative tasks and duties, to ensure all processes run smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities may include:
+ Supporting the entire HR team with administrative tasks and responsibilities to ensure that all processes run smoothly and efficiently
+ Assessing processes for operational effectiveness as well as providing operational support to the HR team
+ Assisting with developing and implementing HR programs and initiatives
+ Updating and interfacing with SharePoint
+ Collecting and compiling sensitive and confidential talent-related metrics and statistics and preparing reports
+ Assisting with employee communication initiatives and audits
+ Updating records; managing, tracking, and processing talent movement and people related actions
+ Supporting planning of events for HR organization and assisting the administrative assistant
+ Serving on project or operational teams from time to time

Basic Qualifications:
+ High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of experience in HR or Administrative role OR Associate’s Degree and 2 years of experience in HR or Administrative role OR Bachelor’s Degree and 0 years of experience
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Microsoft 365 (including Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook & OneDrive) or similar software platforms
+ Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance and Special Program Access within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company to meet its business
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field
+ Previous HR experience
+ Project Management skills
+ Advanced Microsoft Office of Microsoft 365 skills
+ Workday or similar HR Information System experience
Salary Range: $50,000.00 - $83,300.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
