• Healthcare Remittance Cash Poster

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Healthcare Remittance Cash Poster to join our hospital's finance team. The Healthcare Remittance Cash Poster will be responsible for accurately posting payments received through electronic remittance advice (ERA) and reconciling payments with outstanding accounts. The successful candidate will also work closely with other departments to ensure accurate and timely payment processing.

     

    This is NOT a remote position.

    Responsibilities:

    + Accurately post payments received through electronic remittance advice (ERA) to outstanding accounts.

    + Reconcile payments with outstanding balances and research and resolve discrepancies.

    + Monitor and maintain accurate records of payment plans and payment schedules.

    + Work closely with billing and collections staff to ensure accurate billing and payment processing.

    + Prepare and maintain reports of payment activity and account balances.

    + Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements related to payment processing and documentation.

    + Provide guidance and support to other departments on payment processing and related issues.

    + Participate in special projects as needed.

    Qualifications:

    + High school diploma or equivalent, with at least 2 years of experience in healthcare billing or payment processing.

    + Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and ERA processing required.

    + Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately and efficiently process payment transactions.

    + Strong analytical skills, with the ability to research and resolve payment discrepancies.

    + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

    + Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

    + Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement and regulatory requirements preferred.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel.
