    **Astronics Advanced Electronic Systems** (AES) is seeking a **_Sr. Contracts Administrator_** in **Kirkland, WA** .

    Job Summary:

    The Sr. Contracts Administrator will play a pivotal role in drafting, interpreting, and managing contract documents to support the Contracts function and the Cabin Electronics Business Unit. This role involves ensuring compliance with Import/Export regulations, leading negotiations, responding to customer inquiries, and guiding the team on contract strategies. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience, or an advanced degree, with a preferred knowledge of Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and the Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA). Additional qualifications such as a Juris Doctorate (JD) or Paralegal Certificate are advantageous.

    Roles and Responsibilities:

    + Draft, interpret, and manage contract documents, including terms, in support of the Contracts function and the Cabin Electronics Business Unit.

    + Adhere and guide the team on Import/Export Compliance Requirements.

    + Lead coordination with the customer program team on contract interpretations and strategies.

    + Take a lead role in the redlines, summaries, and mid-complexity negotiation of terms and conditions of customer agreements (various contract types) and guide direct reports in this process.

    + Adhere to and comply with standard work processes.

    + Respond to customer inquiries promptly and efficiently.

    + Participate in internal and external customer meetings and reviews.

    + Disseminate (flow down) customer contractual requirements within the organization.

    Key Focus Areas:

    + **Contract Management and Accuracy:** Ensure accuracy and compliance in the drafting, interpretation, and management of all contract documents within the Cabin Electronics Business Unit.

    + **Compliance Adherence:** Maintain up-to-date knowledge and provide regular team training on regulatory changes, ensuring compliance at all times.

    + **Effective Coordination and Communication:** Lead coordination efforts with the customer program teams to interpret and strategize contract terms within agreed timelines, ensuring clarity and mutual understanding.

    + **Negotiation and Redlines Management:** Successfully lead and manage redlines, summaries, and mid-complexity negotiations of terms and conditions for all customer agreements, ensuring favorable terms for the company.

    + **Process Compliance and Improvement:** Ensure adherence to standardized work processes with improvements in process efficiency through the implementation of best practices and regular reviews.

    + **Information Dissemination and Team Support:** Clearly and efficiently disseminate customer contractual requirements within the organization, ensuring 100% understanding and compliance from all relevant departments.

    Required Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in a related field and a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience; or an Advanced Degree and a minimum of 4 years of experience.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Juris Doctorate (JD) or Paralegal Certificate.

    + Working knowledge of Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR) and supporting supplements, Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), 10 USC 2306(a), and the Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA).

    Employment Eligibility Requirements:

    + As a US Department of Defense Contractor, Astronics is bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Must be a US Person under ITAR to be eligible.

    + An offer of employment is contingent on successfully passing a pre-employment background screen and drug test.

    **Salary range for this position is $86,430 - $129,645 per year** . Mid-point for the range is $108,037.

     

    At Astronics AES, it is more typical for an individual to be hired closer to the mid-point than near the top of the range.

     

    Several job-related and non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to experience in comparable roles, skill sets, training, education, licensure or certifications, other qualifications, market conditions and business needs influence actual salary offered. At Astronics AES, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range.
