    As a Commodity Manager (Specialist) at UOP, you will be responsible for establishing and driving procurement of materials and services in alignment with Business Leadership for specialty chemicals and chemical tolling as per the Annual Operating Plan and Strategic Plan. You will have global/regional responsibility for driving competitive commodity and category supply strategies to achieve the lowest total cost, reduced working capital, and ensure supply continuity. This role requires strong negotiation skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic global environment. You will ensure compliance with company business policies and procedures, as well as export/import regulations.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Drive and execute Annual and Strategic Plan with supporting strategies.

    + Ensure correct and fast execution of strategies to align with business growth and new product introductions.

    + Manage material and commodity strategies, including spend analysis, benchmarking, cost and market analysis, and global technology/economic trends.

    + Develop and manage relationships with key supplier leadership.

    + Collaborate with site sales, marketing, technology, business, operations, finance, and quality, as well as other Honeywell businesses.

    + Manage supplier selection, RFQ and RFI process, negotiation, contracting, and supplier performance processes.

    + Apply effective sourcing supplier risk assessment methodologies to ensure supplier continuity.

    + Improve working capital through managed inventories, inventory and lead time reductions.

    + Negotiation and collaboration on tolling agreements with current and prospective tollers, inclusive of production process improvement.

    WE VALUE

    + Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Engineering, Chemistry, or Supply Chain

    + Experience in chemical sourcing

    + 3+ years of commodity management experience including global scope

    + Experience working and/or leading in site team environments

    + Project management and/or contract management experience

    + Professional certifications in project/supply chain/procurement/contract management

    + Team leader with experience in supply management/ sourcing/ procurement/ business in a manufacturing environment

    + Demonstrated business and financial acumen

    + Experience with SAP or site relevant ERP systems, e-sourcing platforms, request for quotation tools, and project management tools

    + Experience with Six Sigma and Lean tools

    + Multi-cultural experience and proficiency in languages other than English

    + Elevated levels of expertise in MS Excel and PowerPoint

     

    The annual base salary range for this position in Illinois is $106,000-$132,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

     

    This position is incentive plan eligible.
