    Here’s What You Need

    + **High School Diploma or Equivalent (required)**

    + **2 Years related experience in Healthcare environment (preferred)**

    + **Previous Surgery Scheduling experience (strongly preferred)**

    + **Medical Terminology, preferably in OB/GYN (strongly preferred)**

    + **EPIC experience (strongly preferred)**

    + Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism

    + Requires strong customer skills, attention to detail, and very well organized

    + Good communication skills

    + Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism

    + A team player who handles multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

    What You Will Do

    + Delivers care to patients utilizing the Surgery Scheduling Specialist Process

    + Schedules all inpatient and outpatient surgery and medical procedures, tests and studies ordered by the physician

    + Coordinates, registers and schedule appointments for patients according to availability

    + Conducts physician pre-certification to ensure coverage for appointments and medical care

    + Ensures all required tests needed prior to surgery are done

    + Coordinates and ensures necessary equipment is ordered, room availability/scheduled, pre-surgery medication, etc., is arranged prior to scheduled procedure

    + Schedules any necessary follow-up appointments

    + Communicates and answers patients’ questions regarding surgery preparation instructions, arrival/departure instructions relative to procedure

    + Performs other duties as assigned
