Who** **we’re** **looking for

Toyota’s Strategic Investments team is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Financial Senior Analyst - Strategic Investments.

The primary responsibility of this role includes conducting due diligence, developing recommendations, and monitoring strategic investments.

Reporting to the Manager – Strategic Investments the person in this role will support strategic investment projects, representing finance in cross-functional working groups.

What** **you’ll** **be doing:

+ Conduct due diligence and develop recommendations for strategic investment opportunities, including validating or creating financial models, reviewing documents, conducting ad hoc analyses, desktop research, participating in internal and external calls, developing presentations, and presenting to senior leadership including the CFO

+ Monitor and operationalize existing investments, including attending investor calls, analyzing financial and operational reports, and partnering with portfolio company on business plan updates and other ad hoc requests

+ Partner closely with business units and other Accounting & Finance teams to support ad hoc requests related to approvals, tax, accounting, budgeting & forecasting, etc.

+ Develop and refine processes and templates related to strategic investments

+ Support special projects and analyses as needed

What you bring:

+ Bachelor’s degree or higher

+ Experience with business cases, strategic investments, Venture Capital/Private Equity (VC/PE), Merger & Acquisitions (M&A), corporate development, and/or distressed asset transactions

+ Experience developing financial models for investment analysis including discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable companies, comparable transactions, and other valuation methodologies

+ Self-starter with the ability to perform in a dynamic, deadline-driven, and detail-oriented environment while keeping the broader strategy in mind

+ Expertise in Microsoft Excel including advanced functions such as vLookups, pivot tables, data analysis tools, and complex formulas

+ Ability to create high-level presentations within Microsoft PowerPoint and present to various levels of leadership up to C-Suite; ability to articulate granular details during Q&A sessions.

+ Ability to cross-functionally collaborate and liaise with various business groups including Taxes, Accounting, and Legal for problem resolution.

+ Advanced degree or certification (e.g., MBA, CFA, CPA)

+ Experience in automotive, electrification, batteries, hydrogen, connected vehicles, and other automotive-related strategic sectors
