We’re looking for a Revenue Tax Assistant Director to join our Office of Charitable Gaming. The Revenue Tax Assistant Director is responsible coordinating charitable licensing and certifications for various levels of charitable gaming activities and other administered dues associated with LDR's Office of Charitable Gaming.

Minimum Qualifications
Eight years of experience in accounting, financial auditing, tax administration, tax policy or law, management analysis, or administrative services in a financial setting; OR
Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus five years of experience in accounting, financial auditing, tax administration, tax policy or law, management analysis, or administrative services in a financial setting; OR
A bachelor's degree plus five years of experience in accounting, financial auditing, tax administration, tax policy or law, management analysis, or administrative services in a financial setting; OR
An advanced degree or Juris Doctorate plus four years of experience in accounting, financial auditing, tax administration, tax policy or law, management analysis, or administrative services in a financial setting; OR
Possession of a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or a current Louisiana license to practice law plus three years of experience in accounting, financial auditing, tax administration, tax policy or law, management analysis, or administrative services in a financial setting.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
In this role, you will:
+ Supervisors Revenue Tax Analyst Supervisor and their subordinate staff.
+ Directly responsible for coordinating charitable licensing and certifications for various levels of charitable gaming activities and other administered dues associated with the Department of Revenue, Office of Charitable Gaming (Office).
+ Direct and coordinate all licensing/certification program activities.
+ Develop, direct and coordinate the licensing/certification program geared toward holders of Charitable Gaming licenses such as charitable organizations, distributors, manufacturers, and commercial lessors in order to operate bingo games, electronic video bingo, casino nights, raffles and pull-tabs.
+ Disseminate technical information and enforce all Department and Office policies and procedures applicable to the licensing/certification program.
+ Provides guidance on technical issues and training to subordinates on all matters relating to Charitable Gaming.
+ Confers with licensee representatives, attorneys and certified public accountant (CPAs) to answer licensing and certification procedures questions and to resolve problems.
Position-Specific Details:
Appointment Type: Probational, Promotional, Job Appointment, Detail to Special Duty or WAE
Current permanent status classified state employees may be required to accept a probational appointment if selected. If filled as a job appointment, there is a possibility that this position may be converted to a probational appointment should funding become available.
Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
