Job Title: Forklift Operator

Job Description

This position involves driving a forklift within a warehouse and production facility, performing general material handling. The role is equally divided between operating a forklift and working on the assembly line with car parts. Candidates will operate a sit-down propane forklift as needed.

Responsibilities

+ Drive a forklift to transport materials within the warehouse and production facility.

+ Handle materials efficiently and ensure safe transportation.

+ Work on the assembly line with car parts for 50% of the time.

+ Operate a sit-down propane forklift during assigned shifts.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in forklift operation.

+ Experience in material handling.

+ Ability to use RF scanners.

+ Capability to handle sit-down forklift tasks.

+ Understanding of shipping and receiving processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ 1-3 years of experience with sit-down forklifts.

+ Experience with material handling and assembly lines is advantageous.

+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

+ Must pass a forklift test.

+ Willingness to work overtime.

Work Environment

The work environment is fast-paced and involves collaboration with a large team of 1500 employees. It is moderately climate-controlled, ensuring comfortable working conditions that are not directly affected by outdoor temperatures. Shifts available include 3rd shift from 10pm-6am, 11pm-7am, or 11:30pm-7:30am, and 1st shift from 6am-2pm or 7am-3pm. The 3rd shift schedule runs from Sunday through Thursday night.

This is a Permanent position based out of Nashville, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $53000.00 - $53000.00/yr.
