Responsibilities

Job purpose

The Level#2- Mold Machine Maintenance role is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repair and service of mold tooling for facility molding equipment.

Duties and responsibilities

The primary job duties and responsibilities are:

+ Follows all documented safety, quality, and maintenance procedures.

+ Responds promptly to safety hazards and machine breakdowns.

+ Understands and interprets blueprints required for work.

+ Performs changeovers to the molding equipment as scheduled.

+ Performs routine service and mechanical repair on mold tooling.

+ Maintain an inventory of spares to support production demand.

+ Completes documentation related to the task at hand.

+ Maintains excellent housekeeping standards to maintain a safe work area.

+ Maintains effective communication with operators and plant supervision.

+ Immediately addresses and reports safety issues or hazards.

+ Maintains excellent safety record.

+ Maintains an excellent attendance record.

+ Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Experience

Experience required:

+ Demonstrated industrial maintenance experience.

+ At least two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing environment

+ Demonstrated self-compliance with company policies and procedures.

+ Experience with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS); Maintenance Connection experience preferred.

Skills

An individual must have the following skills in the Level#2- Mold Machine Maintenance position:

+ Interpersonal skills.

+ Basic computer knowledge.

+ Effective communication skills.

+ Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Physical requirements

This position is located in a manufacturing location. Physical requirements will include, but are not limited to:

+ Standing for lengthy periods (frequent)

+ Sitting for extended periods (frequent)

+ Climbing up/down stairs/ladders/platforms (occasional)

+ Working in a manufacturing environment that includes periods of hot and cold weather, dust, noise above 85 dBA, occasional odors, and moving equipment (frequent)

Working conditions

An individual who works in the Level#2- Mold Machine Maintenance position:

+ Must have a basic knowledge of hand and power tools.

+ Must have mechanical aptitude.

+ Must be able to stand and/or kneel frequently, lift up to 50 pounds regularly, and work in a manufacturing environment.

+ Must be available on an on-call basis.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Technical certification in a related field preferred
