Warehouse Lead/Manager

About the Role
We are a leading steel supplier dedicated to quality and service. We’re seeking a Warehouse Lead/Manager to oversee daily operations, optimize logistics, and lead a high-performing team in a fast-paced distribution environment.
Key Responsibilities
+ Manage the accuracy and condition of all incoming and outgoing shipments
+ Coordinate receiving, staging, and loading of materials
+ Oversee inter-facility transfers and will-call orders
+ Collaborate with Purchasing and Sales on inventory and cycle counts
+ Train staff on equipment use, packaging standards, and safety procedures
+ Lead safety initiatives and assist HR with staffing and disciplinary actions
+ Maintain facility cleanliness and ensure equipment is in working order
Required Qualifications
+ 3+ years of warehouse management experience
+ 2+ years in shipping and receiving
+ Strong knowledge of inventory control, logistics, supervision, and reporting
+ High attention to detail and accuracy in data handling
+ Excellent communication skills and ability to interpret documents and instructions
+ Associate’s degree or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience using tape measures, micrometers, and overhead cranes
+ Familiarity with DOT regulations and basic maintenance procedures

Work Environment
+ Steel manufacturing yard
+ Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–4:00 PM
+ PPE provided: Steel-toed boots, safety glasses, hard hat, jeans, clean work shirt
