JOB SUMMARY
The Early Childhood Education (ECE) Quality & Safety Compliance Coordinator is responsible for leading efforts to ensure full compliance with all regulations and quality standards for Head Start and Child Care classrooms at the Muckleshoot Child & Development Center, the CCDF Infant/Toddler Center, and the Muckleshoot Early Learning Academy.
MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Review and apply theHead Start Program Performance Standards,Caring for Our Childrenguidelines andMuckleshoot Early Childhood EducationHealth and safety policies to ensure program compliance and quality service delivery.
+ Coordinate compliance reporting for Muckleshoot Indian Tribe’s Early Childhood Education programs.
+ Establish and manage record keeping systems and procedures for tracking and reporting; streamline processes when applicable for the ECE Division.
+ Ensure overall compliance with reporting, terms and conditions of Head Start Program Performance Standards and Child Care Development Fund regulations.
+ Work closely with Early Childhood Education Division Director and Program Managing Directors to promote compliance and continuous improvement in all MIT Early Childhood Education Programs.
+ Conduct building walk-throughs, ongoing classroom observations and assessment of program practices to ensure continuous compliance.
+ Collaborate with ECE Education Coordinators, ECE Nurses and ECE facilities staff to assess compliance with all Federal, State and Tribal regulations.
+ Prepare data informed compliance reports and submit to the ECE Division Director.
+ Complete work place trainings with both large and small employee groups to train and meet performance standrds.
+ Because of the Tribe’s commitment to community service and the well-being of its members, each employee may be expected to perform a wide range of office and field duties from time to time. Such duties may or may not be related to their regular responsibilities.
EDUCATION - EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING FOR POSITION
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Early Childhood Education, Human Services, Social Work, Public Administration, or Organizational Development, or related field and four (4) years’ experience in developing and monitoring health, health care, safety and risk assessment in a school system.
Preferred: Experience working with H ead start performance standards Caring for our Children guidelines and the Washington State Child care Licensing Regulations
SPECIFIC SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES REQUIRED FOR POSITION
+ Knowledge of and a deep commitment to the Muckleshoot Indian Tribe
+ Knowledge of Early Childhood Teacher education requirements
+ Knowledge of Early Childhood Education systems and accountability reporting
+ Knowledge of Early Childhood Education systems and the academic requirements of K-12 educational systems
+ Knowledge of Early Childhood Development
+ Knowledge of grant compliance and administration
+ Ability to perform risk analysis
+ Knowledge of government reporting and establishing compliance
+ Proficiency in MS Office products and ability to work with MIT accounting packages
+ Outstanding communication skills (written and oral) ability to communicate in a diplomatic, friendly, and effective manner with management, staff
+ Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently under deadline pressure and changing priorities
+ Ability to solve problems creatively in order to meet organizational goals and objectives
+ Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced, energetic, highly creative tribal environment
+ Ability to provide work place trainings with both large and small employee groups to meet performance standards

Licenses or Certifications Required
A valid Washington State driver’s license is required at time of appointment or at a time set by the Tribe.
