    Job Description

    Assists in the organization, integrity, and maintenance of all storerooms daily responsibilities including, but not limited to, shipping, receiving, distribution, documentation and inventory control measures. Set Up and Dismantle equipment. Interacts professionally with other departments.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Education:

    + High School graduate or equivalent

    Experience Requirement:

    + One year experience in a health care setting that covers distribution and receiving practices of supplies and equipment

     

    Level of Physical Activity Required: Moderate

    Describe Work Environment:

    + Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., push, pull and move heavy equipment and supplies during the workday

    Compensation Statement

     

    The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $23.15 - $25.23 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.

    Responsibilities

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Set up and maintain Par Levels on the floors which includes Rotating stock and performing expiration sweeps.

    • Set up and dismantle equipment.

    • Following policy and procedures for perpetual inventory, picks supplies from storeroom using the appropriate technology and prepares for delivery.

    • Replenish supply carts including code carts where applicable.

    • Receives documents and inspects receipts of goods delivered for confirmation of accuracy. Processes packing lists according to department procedures.

    • Processes and delivers authorized supply requisitions to end users in compliance with correct data.

    • Assists supervisor in maintaining correct inventory levels to avoid stock outages and errors in recording of cost allocation issues. Responsible for reporting shortages or unusual situations to supervisory staff.

    • Acts as a liaison with Purchasing/Materials Management to provide proper information on receipt of packing lists as they relate to purchase orders.

    • Presents a positive image as a central distribution clerk through courteous, responsive, and professional service. Responds to and takes corrective action for any concerns or problems expressed by customers.

    • Follows established infection control policies and procedures when delivering supplies and equipment.

    • Attends and participates in conferences and seminars, as well as department huddles and meetings where applicable

    • Performs inventory cycle counts per established schedules for perpetual and periodic inventories.

    • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
