5x a week onsite in Fremont location We are seeking experienced contingent software engineers to support a high-performance, custom digitization operation. This role requires strong hands-on experience in Linux-based environments, systems integration, and web-based interfaces. You will work closely with engineering, operations, and hardware teams to optimize throughput and reliability across a large-scale scanning and data capture pipeline. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools in shell/bash, Python, or similar • Optimize and troubleshoot Linux-based systems for performance and stability • Configure and support networking protocols and infrastructure (TCP/IP, SSH, HTTP/S) • Develop lightweight web UIs to monitor, control, and configure the digitization pipeline • Integrate with hardware systems and custom APIs • Log, monitor, and debug system behavior across distributed components • Work cross-functionally with operations and hardware leads to troubleshoot and scale processes Required Skills: • Advanced proficiency in Linux administration and shell scripting • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (routing, firewalls, protocols, etc.) • Experience building and maintaining web interfaces (React, Vue, Flask, or similar) • Familiarity with distributed systems, hardware integration, or device management • Experience in CI/CD, logging (e.g., syslog, journal), and debugging tools • Comfortable working in ambiguous environments with shifting operational needs

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $75.00/hr.
