    THE POSITION

    If you have a background in information technology and are looking for a new and rewarding opportunity, we encourage you to apply for the position of Information Technology Generalist 1 with the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP). Your work within the Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) will help us continue to support PSP and serve the citizens of Pennsylvania.     DESCRIPTION OF WORK

    As an Information Technology Generalist 1, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of BCI's technical systems. You will be providing support to Pennsylvania's designated fusion centers, specifically the Pennsylvania Criminal Intelligence Center and the Western Pennsylvania All Hazards Fusion Center. As a co-administrator for the department's Mobile Device Management solution, you will oversee the management of BCI's confidential equipment and provide support for inter-agency operations. Your expertise in geographic software will be utilized as you oversee it's infrastructure and integration into the bureau's other intelligence applications. Furthermore, you will be responsible for maintaining and administering the bureau's investigative and intelligence systems on a daily basis.

    Work Schedule and Additional Information:

    + Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week

    + Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. There may be an occasional need to work outside of normal working hours.

    + Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

    + Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $59,345.00 (before taxes).

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

    + Three years of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, networking or desktop services, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services;or

    + One year as an Information Technology Trainee or Information Technology Technician (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration) ;or

    + One year of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, networking or desktop services, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services, and an associate's degree in any information technology field;or

    + An equivalent combination of experience and training.

    Other Requirements:

    + This particular position also requires you to possess:

    + One or more years of full-time professional experience imaging Windows devices

    + One or more years of full-time professional experience maintaining information technology solutions to include servers, workstation (and supporting clients), etc.

    + One or more years of full-time professional experience administering (i.e., developing and implementing; profiles, restriction and compliance policies, and development and implementation of software packages to all devices within the environment) utilizing the departments mobile device management (MDM) systems through Omnissa Workspace One

    + One or more years of full-time professional experience with IT Asset Management (ITAM) software

    + A valid driver's license which is not under suspension

Removal may result in the termination of employment if other placement options are not available.

    + You must be able to perform essential job functions.
