CTG is seeking to fill an Engineer (Apache Camel; Kafka; API) opening for our client in Phoenix, AZ.
**Location:** Phoenix, AZ
**Duration:** 12 months
Duties:
+ Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable integration solutions using Apache Camel and Apache Kafka
+ Develop and maintain APIs leveraging REST, GraphQL, and Apigee
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement microservices and cloud-native architectures
+ Participate in end-to-end system design and architecture reviews
+ Conduct performance tuning and monitoring using tools like Dynatrace, Grafana, and JMeter
+ Ensure CI/CD processes are followed using Jenkins, Git (GitHub, GitLab, BitBucket), and Maven
+ Deploy and manage applications in containerized environments using Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift
+ Perform unit testing using JUnit and Postman
+ Support database interactions using Couchbase, Redis, HBase, NoSQL, Oracle, and Hadoop/HDFS
+ Contribute to platform and application monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident resolution
Skills:
+ Proficient in Apache Camel and Apache Kafka for event-driven architecture and message brokering
+ Strong API development skills (REST, GraphQL) with Apigee API Gateway experience
+ Solid understanding of Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and related frameworks
+ Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Maven, Git)
+ Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies: Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift
+ Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and modern application monitoring tools: Dynatrace, Grafana
+ Familiarity with NoSQL and distributed databases: Couchbase, Redis, HBase
+ Experience in database and storage technologies: Oracle, Hadoop/HDFS
+ Skilled in performance testing tools like JMeter and unit testing frameworks like JUnit
+ Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments
Experience:
+ Minimum 5 years of software engineering experience with a focus on API and integration development
+ Demonstrated success in designing and deploying enterprise-grade integration solutions
+ Hands-on experience with large-scale systems involving message brokers and microservices
Education:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent work experience may be considered
