    About the opportunity:

    We are looking for a passionate and highly motivated Manufacturing Engineer. The successful candidate will be motivated to drive process improvements with a specific focus on quality within the manufacturing of circuit card assemblies (CCA's). The successful candidate will support:

    SAFETY

    Ensure compliance to all aspects of Safety

     

    Proactively maintain a safe working environment

     

    Comply with audits

    PRODUCT PROCESS EFFICIENCY

    Define and improve fixturing and tooling

     

    Reduce cycle times, maintaining once optimal

     

    Reduce touch time, maintaining once optimal

     

    Eliminate bottlenecks

     

    Maintain optimal utilization, initiating improvements where possible and applicable

     

    Provide input into costing and practices cost control

    PRODUCT COMPLIANCE

    Create, maintain and improve work instructions (e.g., planning, OSOPs)

     

    Review and approve engineering changes

     

    Establish and maintain adequate CVP for all products

    QUALITY

    Ensure team meets quality objectives

     

    Promote a culture of 100% quality

     

    Take part in quality investigations, including RCCA, as determined by the QCE

    TEAM SUPPORT

    Work collaboratively with other Process Owners on meeting product process efficiency and product compliance goals collectively

     

    Ensure ongoing collaboration of best practices and strategies. Carry out training when necessary

     

    Lead initiatives to ensure that continuous improvement is an ongoing process

     

    Identify and communicate training needs and skills gaps in the teams

     

    Provide and/or identify mentoring and coaching opportunities

     

    Model appropriate behaviors that encourage effective teamwork to drive quality improvement and to ensure product compliance and assembly process efficiency through continuous improvement.

     

    Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

    Required Education, Experience, & Skills

    + Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in manufacturing, industrial, mechanical, systems, engineering, technology or other relevant discipline.

    + Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office.

    + Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    + The ability to read technical specifications

    + General understanding of electronics manufacturing process.

    + Ability to work 2nd Shift

    Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

    + Lean Manufacturing Exposure.

    + Statistical Analysis including SPC, CpK, MSA, DOE.

    + Lean Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt.

    + Understanding of electronics manufacturing processes.

    + Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

     

    Pay Information

     

    Full-Time Salary Range: $52080 - $88535

     

    Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
