BAE Systems, a prominent defense contractor and Fortune 500 Company, is hiring a part-time hybrid Product Marketing Specialist Intern at the Holston Army Ammunition Plant in Kingsport, TN. The successful candidate will support the Ordnance Systems business, working on-site as needed starting in August 2025.

The role involves joining a product marketing sales team to manage customer quotes and orders for explosives and related products/services, from intake to delivery, for the Department of Defense and global customers. The ideal candidate should possess strong attention to detail, a solid marketing or business education, and excellent communication skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment. Note that relocation and housing assistance are not provided.

In this position, you will participate in BAE Systems' nationwide LEAP Internship & Co-op Program, where you will Learn, Engage, Apply, and Progress within the company. The LEAP Program will provide you with the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals on impactful projects, engage in career development opportunities, and network with our business leaders and the other students in the program.

As a Product Marketing Specialist Intern , you will:

+ Support Sales and Marketing activities for BAE Systems at the Holston Army Ammunition Plant in Kingsport, TN

+ Support strategic proposals and orders, as assigned

+ Prepare and submit reports, as required

+ Maintain sales database including the capture of all relevant information from external customers to support quotes and orders

+ Ensure timely and complete communication with internal departments for smooth processing of the external customer requests

+ Solicit and manage customer feedback with surveys and questionnaires

+ Strong attention to timeliness with response to the external customers

+ Ensure compliance with all Business Development policies and procedures

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

+ Must be enrolled in a Bachelor s Degree program majoring in Marketing or business related field

+ Ability to work a minimum of 24 hours per week

+ Attention to detail and learn tasks quickly

+ Excellent verbal and written communications skills

+ Outstanding team player with the ability to effectively work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

+ Strong organizational skills

+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word)

+ Work in a professional environment

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

+ Recent Graduate holding a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or other Business related program.

+ Ability to work a minimum of 32 hours per week.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $35875 - $48389

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

Temporary employees generally are not eligible for BAE Systems benefits, but can elect to participate in the 401(k) savings plan. Temporary employees working 20 hours per week are eligible for medical benefits, the employee assistance program, and business travel accident insurance.
