Maintenance Specialist - Plant Watson

**Location:** Plant Watson, Gulfport, MS
Position Overview:
The Generation Maintenance Specialist will coordinate maintenance for assigned areas and equipment to ensure optimal generating availability, efficiency, and reliability. This role involves developing and installing plant improvement projects, providing technical direction to maintenance personnel, and supporting various processes.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Monitor routine operation of plant equipment and investigate improvements.
+ Acquire data and use predictive maintenance technologies to evaluate and diagnose maintenance needs.
+ Implement and maintain data collection, trending, and diagnostics as specified.
+ Develop and track routine, outage, and capital budgets for assigned equipment and systems.
+ Utilize Maximo for communication, maintenance recommendations, equipment assessments, and cost-benefit analysis.
+ Communicate with plant management, corporate management, vendors, and utility experts regarding operations, maintenance, repairs, and improvements.
+ Establish relationships with key vendors and analyze acceptance data on new/rebuilt equipment.
+ Analyze critical equipment situations and determine safe and effective solutions.
+ Participate in on-call plant manager duty rotation, overseeing plant systems outside regular hours.
Qualifications:
+ Minimum of 5 years of experience in power plant maintenance and troubleshooting.
+ Extensive experience in the maintenance and/or operations of electric generating plants.
+ Thorough understanding of plant equipment, systems, and operations.
+ Strong decision-making, strategic planning, organizational, and analytical skills.
+ Proven interpersonal and communication skills.
+ Proficiency in Excel, Word, OIS, and Maximo.
+ Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
+ Experience coordinating contract labor crews.
