As an electronics engineer, you have the chance to design and enhance established systems in support of the client mission. Your technical expertise will be vital as you evaluate and modernize myriad of modified Commer cia l Off-The-Shelf ( COTS ) electronics equipment, sensors, sof tware sets, and warning systems geographically dispersed across a densely populated urban area and networked to a multi-service Joint Operations Center , along with moving Information Technology ( IT ) assets and maintenance tools, as needed. You'll develop your skills in electrical design, engineering and systems development while gaining experience in Electro-Optical / Infra-Red ( EO / IR ) , networks and interoperability for the DoD. Grow your skills by merging computer science and systems integration to create isolate system issues and distinguish between system hardware, sof tware, and support systems faults, for subsequent recommendations and the initiation of fault corrective actions while modifying and enhancing an established architecture. You Have:
+ Experience with electronics, mechanical, or IT and technical troubleshooting, diagnostics, and operations
+ Experience with National Electric Codes ( NEC ) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration ( OSHA ) safety requirements
+ Ability to perform troubleshooting, maintenance, replacement, and repair activities atop elevated antenna platform, water tower, and commer cia l building structures at heights up to 150ft
+ Secret clearance
+ HS diploma or GED and 6+ years of experience in a professional work environment, or Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience in a professional work environment
+ Ability to obtain DoD 8570 IAT Level II Networking Certification within 90 days of hire
+ Active and current electri cia ns license valid for the states of D.C., Maryland, and Virginia
+ Ability to complete company-provided training and Occupational Safety and Health Administration ( OSHA ) approved Personal Fall Arrest System ( PFAS ) equipment training
Nice If You Have :
+ Experience with ERSA, Long-Range, Mid-Range, and Short-Range surveillance systems, including Infrared ( IR ) and DLTV / VCS camera systems
+ Experience in computer maintenance and UNIX, Linux, Cisco and Windows Network Operating Systems
+ Experience with HVAC units, Int rus ion Detection System, or Surveillance Systems
+ Experience maintaining and troubleshooting air defense weapon systems, Radars, surveillance sensors, or tactical networks
+ Experience with troubleshooting and repairing of RF systems, cables, and connectors
+ Knowledge of the use of radio encryption devices
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $69,400.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
