    Operations Manager – Switching Location: New Wales Schedule: Varies based on business needs

     

    Join an award-winning team in the logistics industry. Road & Rail Services is seeking a proactive, experienced leader to serve as an Operations Manager – Switching. This individual will oversee daily operations in a fast-paced rail yard environment, ensuring compliance with all safety protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and customer requirements.

     

    You'll be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of site performance, leading teams and developing personnel to achieve excellence in safety and service delivery.

    What You Bring to the Table: We're looking for a committed professional with:

    + 1–3 years of rail yard management experience

    + Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office

    + The ability to thrive in a high-volume, high-pressure environment

    + Excellent attendance and punctuality

    + A positive, team-first attitude with a willingness to learn

    + A valid state driver's license

    + A high school diploma or GED

    + A "Safety First" mindset and the ability to model our Core Principles

    Your Key Responsibilities:

    Maintain full compliance with all customer, industry, and company safety regulation. Provide effective leadership by hiring, coaching, promoting, or disciplining team members as needed. Monitor and ensure all team members adhere to SOPs and work instructions. Drive continuous improvement by identifying process efficiencies and service enhancements. Set clear developmental and performance goals, offering support and accountability. Embody ethical practices in all decision-making and operational oversight
