Housing and Food Services has an outstanding opportunity for a Program Assistant to join their team.** **POSITION PURPOSE
Provide program operation support the Manager of Operations overseeing the Husky Den Food Court and Pagliacci HUB
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** **General
+ Act as point of contact for general support to unit employees, internal and external customers, vendors, etc.
+ Act as liaison to other Housing & Food Services areas; resolve problems that arise between staff and both internal and external customers **Staffing**
+ Under the direction of the managers, support student employment processes by assisting with orientation, training, and scheduling functions
+ Consult with managers regarding staffing needs and support hiring, training and evaluation processes
+ With direction from the unit managers, schedule coverage for open shifts. Ensures compliance with timelines dictated by unit policy and/or the Seattle Fair Scheduling ordinance
+ Track new hires to insure that they receive the prescribed orientation, training and evaluations **Administrative**
+ Document, implement, interpret and communicate procedures, work methods, forms, schedules and job priorities to meet the business needs of the Administrator and Unit Managers
+ Communicate program-specific policies and procedures to employees, customers and guests
+ Develop and prepare reports upon request, including activity reports for labor, accounts payable and/menu management
+ Use various systems including, inventory and menu management systems (CBORD), point of sale systems, document management systems (SharePoint), and timekeeping system (Workday), to track and edit information and prepare reports for leadership team
+ Act as a liaison between Food Service System Specialist and unit computer users and assist with troubleshooting software problems and referring hardware malfunctions as necessary
+ Assist General Manager with scheduling meetings and special projects **Operations**
+ Under the direction of managers’ predetermined par levels, may process and call in orders
+ Assist manager in the counting of monthly inventory
+ Update signage, including menu and pricing boards
+ Under the guidance of the Dining Operations Marketing Specialist, maintain accuracy of online menus, Carousel digital signage, and other guest facing communication in unit
+ Responds to Txt N Tel digital feedback within one business day **CBORD**
+ Ensure unit staff are properly trained on using CBORD FSS system by referring them to Dining Systems for training, as well as providing ongoing guidance and feedback.
+ Perform and coordinate data input into CBORD FSS system following established protocols, including orders, invoices, inventory, transfers and service menus. Identify and escalate suspected errors or issues to manager or Dining Systems.
+ Generate and print reports or worksheets from CBORD FSS system, including order guides, production sheets, recipes and inventory tally sheets.
+ Take inventory counts using tally sheets from CBORD FSS system. **Position Dimensions** This position will support overall operational and customer service needs for the Husky Den and Pagliacci HUB retail units and able to perform additional, related duties (as appropriate, within job classification). **MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS** High school graduation or equivalent AND Two years of clerical experience.Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration. **DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS** One year of experience that demonstrates working knowledge of a food production and service operation including receipt and handling of perishable foods, experience receiving goods and services from external customers, filling schedules and maintaining recipe and menu databases. **CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT**

+ Washington State Food Card within two weeks of hire and maintenance thereafter
