    Job Summary

    This position will be performing window cleaning to all public and some private areas of campus; using various window cleaning systems and cleaning techniques. This position will also assist in the changing of all lights more than 12’ above the ground throughout campus – works with ladders and Ariel work platforms.

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to determining the proper distribution and set-up of equipment and materials, by inspecting assigned buildings. Insures that work standards are being adhered to and checking equipment on a regular basis, making minor repairs when authorized. Assists in training new crew members in the proper use of equipment, minimum breakdown of equipment, materials and chemicals. Insures that work area is secured by inspecting for locked doors in accordance with regulations. Maintains positive public relations; reports maintenance and emergency problems; back-up to crew leader by assisting him/her directly or acting for him/her during any absence.

     

    Problems that may be encountered in this position include: working in severe weather conditions; working with water; and working around moving electric and motorized equipment.

     

    A valid Utah driver’s license is required

    Minimum Qualifications

    Four years relevant work experience in the applicable trades areas or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience); demonstrated knowledge of national, state and local building codes and standards; ability to read wiring diagrams, blueprints, and be able to make mechanical sketches and drawings; and demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills required. Requires lifting and transporting heavy objects. A valid Utah Driver’s license may be required.

    Be able to work at heights above the ground; be able to be on your feet for 8 hours a day; work in in-climate weather conditions; and perform repeated tasks.
