    **Sodexo's Campus Segment** has an exciting opportunity for a hands-on and talented **Executive Chef 2** to lead culinary operations at **State Quad Dining Hall** at the **University at Albany** in Albany, NY.

     

    As Executive Chef, you’ll be the culinary lead for one of the university’s key resident dining halls. With a team of 50+ employees, you will drive food quality, safety, and consistency while mentoring staff and delivering an exceptional student dining experience. This is a high-impact, high-volume role perfect for a chef who thrives in a collaborative, student-centered environment.

    What You'll Do

    + Oversee all culinary operations for State Quad, ensuring Sodexo’s standards for recipe compliance, food quality, and safety are met.

    + Train, coach, and develop a large culinary team to maintain excellence and consistency.

    + Manage purchasing, inventory, food cost analysis, and production forecasting.

    + Lead menu development, including allergy-friendly and special diet offerings.

    + Ensure full compliance with HACCP, sanitation, and workplace safety protocols.

    + Drive a culture of culinary innovation, sustainability, and continuous improvement.

    Qualifications & Requirements

     

    Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience

     

    Minimum Management Experience - 2 years

     

    Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
