Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role is crucial in supporting the overall operations of our organization through effective custodial practices.

Responsibilities

Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors to maintain cleanliness.

Conduct custodial tasks in commercial and residential settings, ensuring all areas are well-kept and hygienic.

Maintain and care for facilities by performing routine maintenance tasks such as buffing floors and managing waste disposal.

Assist with industrial cleaning processes as needed, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Support the maintenance of exterior areas by performing porter duties, including litter removal and outdoor cleaning tasks.

Ensure that all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored and maintained for optimal performance.

Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly.

Qualifications

Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning roles is preferred but not required.

Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices is a plus, including floor care techniques such as buffing.

Ability to perform physical tasks associated with cleaning and maintenance, including lifting up to 50 pounds.

Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.

Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Familiarity with industrial cleaning methods is advantageous.
