The Area Operations Manager (AOM) is responsible for overseeing the operational performance, strategic execution, and regulatory compliance of multiple branches across assigned territories within Family Resource Home Care. This role is critical in supporting branch-level leadership, driving operational excellence, and ensuring alignment with the company's mission to improve more lives through compassionate, reliable home care.
The AOM plays a key leadership role in fostering a high-performance, high-support culture across their area of responsibility, ensuring service consistency, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. They work closely with Branch Managers, Regional Leadership, and cross-functional departments to support strong client outcomes, caregiver satisfaction, and branch growth.
This position reports directly to the Regional Vice President of Operations.

Key Responsibilities:
Operational Oversight & Performance Management
• Oversee day-to-day operations across assigned branches, supporting Branch Managers and stepping in when needed to ensure continuity.
• Serve as acting Branch Manager or Administrator when a branch leader departs or a new location is launched, providing direct oversight and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), including service hours, unassigned hours, caregiver retention, and erosion rates.
• Guide branches in developing and executing action plans to meet or exceed performance targets.
• Ensure consistent application of company policies, systems, and service delivery standards across all locations within the area.
• Provide hands-on support during leadership gaps or transitions to maintain service quality and operational flow.
• Collaborate with the RN Manager, RNs, and LPNs—if applicable—in regions that have nursing support to ensure alignment between clinical and operational functions.
Leadership & Culture
• Promote and embody Family Resource Home Care's culture—balancing a family-like environment of support, respect, and collaboration with a focus on high-performance and accountability.
• Mentor and support Branch Managers, Client Care Supervisors (CCSs), and Caregiver Managers (CGMs), ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
• Support onboarding and development of new leaders within assigned branches. Reinforce expectations for service excellence, internal communication, and cross-functional teamwork.
• Facilitate problem-solving and performance coaching conversations as needed.
Client and Caregiver Satisfaction
• Champion a culture of responsiveness and care by supporting timely and high-quality service delivery to clients.
• Assist in resolving complex client or caregiver concerns in partnership with branch leadership.
• Monitor service feedback and partner with teams to continuously improve satisfaction and retention. Promote initiatives that enhance caregiver engagement, recognition, and development.
Financial and Compliance Oversight
• Collaborate with branch leadership and finance to manage branch-level budgets and financial performance.
• Review financial metrics to identify risks or opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure branch operations meet internal policies, state regulations, and licensing standards.
• Provide oversight and support during audits, surveys, and compliance reviews, including corrective action planning.
• Actively participate in state audits and licensing surveys, ensuring preparedness, accuracy of documentation, and timely follow-up on findings.
• Serve as the branch Administrator where required by licensing, particularly during leadership gaps or new branch openings.
Strategic Planning & Business Development
• Collaborate with the Regional Vice President and executive leadership on long-term strategic planning for assigned areas.
• Support initiatives that drive branch growth, efficiency, and community outreach.
• Participate in enterprise-level committees or pilot programs, including company-wide process improvements.
• Help expand market presence through branch development and local engagement activities.
Team Collaboration & Communication
• Conduct regular one-on-ones with Branch Managers and facilitate ongoing team collaboration.
• Attend and contribute to regional and company-wide operations meetings.
• Share updates and initiatives from corporate leadership with branch teams to ensure alignment.
• Work cross-functionally with HR, Finance, Recruiting, and Compliance to support branch success.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

Working Conditions:
• Primarily office-based with frequent travel to branches across assigned areas.
• Standard business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
• Frequent travel—estimated at 50% or more—may be required to support operational oversight, provide on-site leadership, and attend regional or company-wide meetings.
• This position reports to the Regional Vice President of Operations.

Physical Requirements:
• Frequent use of computers, phones, and office equipment.
• Regular standing, walking, sitting, driving, and light lifting (up to 25 lbs).
• Occasional stooping, kneeling, and stair climbing may be required.
