**Job Title:** Associate Clinical Manager Licensed Practical Nurse
**Department:** MSKR and Neuroscience Shared Services
**Location:** Penn Medicine Radnor - 145 King of Prussia Rd
**Entity:** CPUP
**Hours:** Mon-Fri hours will change based upon department needs
Summary:
+ The Associate Clinical Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day clinical operations for the practice. The Associate Clinical Manager ensures compliance with TJC, CMS and DOH requirements across all practice locations. The Associate Clinical Manager oversees infection control standards in the practice and participates in EOC rounding in the practice. The Associate Clinical Manager will communicate new processes, assist with coverage plans for unexpected needs and act as the subject matter expert for clinical questions and EHR optimization. The Associate Clinical Manager will support hiring, onboarding and orientation of new clinical staff, complete clinical competencies and performance appraisals.
+ Typical scope for this role is: •2-10 = # of staff directly •<15,000 = # of budgeted annual visits
+ Complexity Factors (may involve a few of the following factors of practice complexity): 1 practice location, tier 1 coordination of inpatient services, coordination of care across several departments/entities, academic involvement (research initiatives, resident program), special clinical programs, regulatory requirements, support of external partnerships/collaborations.

+ Establishes/updates work processes and work practices, and performs clinical duties to maintain workflows and adequate staffing levels.
+ In collaboration with clinical and operational leaders, manages team and individual performance in alignment with Penn Medicine's vision of service excellence.
+ Clearly defines work processes, recognizes, and rewards individuals for a job well done, and addresses performance issues immediately.
+ Recruitment and Retention of Staff
+ Assists Manager with recruitment and retention and with onboarding.
+ Professional Development:
+ Assists with the development of clinical staff in collaboration with the Nursing Professional Development team.
+ Ensures staff are compliant with clinical competencies and mandatory trainings.
+ Regulatory Compliance:
+ Assists the practice or clinical leadership with appropriate staffing, compliance (TJC CMS, DOH, OSHA), and continuous quality and safety improvement initiatives.
+ Maintains a focus on Quality and Safety Priorities including but not limited to the application of a quality improvement framework (FOCUS PDSA), High Reliable Organization principles, and safety event follow-up.
+ Manages pay practices including accurate timecard review and approval, reviews and manages all overtime utilization.
+ Assists with the implementation of change management strategies within the practice, in alignment with department, entity/Penn Medicine objectives.
+ Supports proactive communication and problem solving to enable high performance of team and individuals.
+ Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures
+ Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization
Education, Credentials, and Experience:
+ H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)
+ Graduate of a state approved Practical Nurse Program (Required)
+ And 3+ years practical nursing experience (Required)
+ Licensed Practical Nurse (Required)
+ BCLS from AHA (Required)
