Job Title: Mold Maintenance Technician

Classification: Non-Exempt

Department: Casting

Reports to: Supervisor

Position:     Day Shift

Purpose:

The Mold Maintenance Technician is responsible for preparing the molds for the Casting line. This work

includes meticulous hand work and strong attention to detail.

General Duties:

+ Hand polish molds

+ Ensure dimensions and surface finish are maintained

+ Use manual drill press

+ Fill out required production documents

+ Assemble molds

+ Test molds for leaks

+ Maintain clean/organized work area

Skills:

+ Able to work both independently and as a team

+ Detail oriented

+ Able to work with and understand sensitive measuring equipment

Requirements:

+ High school degree or GED equivalency.

+ Basic mechanical aptitude

+ Must be willing to work a (4 Star) 12-hour shifts (willing to work every other weekend and some holidays). Shifts are either 5:00 AM to 5:10 PM or 5:00 PM to 5:10 PM

+ Able to perform repetitive and physically demanding tasks for extended periods, to include but not limited to: lifting, walking, standing, stooping, pulling, and pushing

+ Willing to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations; including wearing personal protective equipment

+ Must work safely at all times

+ Willing to work in hot/humid, cold, noisy industrial environment

+ Willing to work around dust, oil, grease, chemicals, and other substances

+ Able to use a computer for basic reporting and documentation

+ Good interpersonal skills

+ Good communication skills. Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally

+ Able to accurately use basic math

+ Perform other duties as required
