Palmer College of Chiropractic is looking for a Campus Store Sales Coordinator!
The Campus Store Sales Coordinator is responsible for cashiering and outstanding customer service support for the Campus Store. This position will provide sales assistance to the operation of a full-service higher education Campus Store, uniquely focused on chiropractic. Front end responsibilities including cash handling, inventory control, merchandising and opening/closing procedures.
Organizational Relationships:
+ Responsible to the assigned administrator and has a support responsibility to all other departments and college personnel, as necessary.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Greet all Campus Store customers enthusiastically in person and by phone; assist with purchases and all Campus Store services.
+ Communicate with personnel and customers to exchange information and resolve issues or concerns.
+ Operate a computerized cash register to perform cashiering duties, count money, verify checks, process credit cards, make correct change, issue receipts, and file accordingly.
+ Perform open and close store activities, including balancing the cash drawers and daily system procedures.
+ Assist in general maintenance of store and stockroom areas, which may include organizing, re-arranging and stocking as needed to ensure merchandise is properly presented and appropriate inventory levels are maintained.
+ Monitor inventory levels of assigned area; create an item order list based off identified build-to levels. After manager review and approval, submit order.
+ Prepare merchandise for sale, create and affix price and barcode labels to product, and other related duties such as folding, cleaning, organizing displays, and facing-out merchandise to maintain an appealing sales floor. Order cash/change as needed to maintain and run an efficient cash register.
+ Assist in entering pertinent information into the applicable software system, including but not limited to, new products, sales, returns, receiving, invoices, requisitions and purchase orders.
+ Participate in loss prevention activities to include training work studies on the POS, ensure all Campus Store sales, promotions, returns are properly processed as per guidelines.
+ Participate in departmental efforts to create marketing ideas to promote product and services.
+ Perform miscellaneous administrative duties such as store deposits, student payment plan collections, work orders as needed.
+ Assist in end of year inventory control procedures.
+ Perform all responsibilities in a manner that fully complies with Palmer’s Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action policy.

Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
+ Excellent people skills with an enthusiasm for front-line work.
+ Knowledge of basic POS skills.
+ Ability to perform assigned duties with time pressures and frequent interruptions.
+ Ability to utilize personal computer, various software packages, general office equipment and other necessary equipment.
+ Ability to maintain mental concentration for extended periods of time.
+ Ability to analyze and resolve routine problems.
+ Ability to communicate effectively.
+ Ability to work various hours as job requires, rotating Saturdays, store open and closing shifts, special college, and promotional events.
+ Ability to monitor store security and notify manager and/or campus security of suspected incidents of retail theft or fraud.
Education and Experience:
+ Requires high school diploma or equivalent; associates degree preferred; three year’s retail experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
+ Perform sedentary to light work in a ventilated, lighted, and temperature-controlled office setting.
+ Frequent need to stand, stoop, walk, sit, lift, and carry objects in excess of 25 pounds, and perform other similar actions during the workday.
