Job Summary:
As Vice President (VP) of Manufacturing Engineering, you will play a critical role in driving technical excellence and innovation across the organization. You will ensure that engineering initiatives align with the company's goals and long-term objectives, while also maintaining strict adherence to established engineering procedures, standards, and best practices. In this leadership role, you will provide strategic direction, mentorship, and oversight to engineering teams, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Essential Functions:
• Collaborates with the Leadership Team to actively contribute to long-term operational and manufacturing strategy aligned with organizational goals
• Oversees manufacturing systems (ERP) for all facilities and ensures alignment for manufacturing operations
• Oversee all facility manufacturing engineering efforts in new product launches, capital planning, continuous improvement efforts and manufacturing performance metrics
• Oversees project timelines, milestones, and overall progress to ensure alignment with strategic objectives
• Proactively identifies and implements opportunities for process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency
• Prepares and delivers comprehensive project reports to ensure schedule adherence and budget compliance
Supervisory Responsibility:
The VP of Manufacturing Engineering directly oversees employees within the Manufacturing Engineering Departments across all manufacturing facilities and is responsible for executing all leadership and supervisory duties in alignment with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and developing engineering talent; planning, assigning, and managing technical work; evaluating team and individual performance; recognizing achievements and administering corrective actions when necessary; and addressing concerns or conflicts to ensure a high-performing, collaborative, and compliant engineering environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering leadership roles is typically expected
• A strong technical background in manufacturing systems software (ERP)
• Strong leadership and management skills, including the ability to build and motivate teams, delegate tasks, and foster a positive work environment
Education:
• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, or a related discipline is required; a master’s degree in engineering or business administration is preferred
Experience:
• 10 years of experience in leadership roles, including team management and oversight of complex project delivery
• Strong technical expertise with the ability to drive innovation and process improvement
• Proven strategic thinking capabilities and a track record of aligning projects with organizational goals
• Exceptional communication, collaboration, and leadership skills are essential for cross-functional team management
Background Prerequisites:
• Must undergo and meet company standards for background check, employment verification, reference checks and controlled substance testing
Preferred Qualifications:
• A master’s degree is preferred, particularly in Engineering Management, Business Administration, or a related field
• Proven track record of leading and delivering complex projects from conception to production
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent Managerial and supervisory skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Extensive technical knowledge of engineering and product development
• Excellent financial skills and ability to analyze financial data
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar Software
