What you'll do…
The Plant/Specialty Manager position at The Detroit HVC is responsible for all daily operations in a high pace customer-focused organization. The Plant/Specialty Manager is responsible for but not limited to:
+ Safety, Denials, Quality, Grid times, On Time Delivery, UAW Relations, Transportation, National and Local Negotiations.
+ Relationships with Dealers, Parts Managers, Carriers, Supply Chain, Regional Hubs and all corporate support functions.
+ Managing and directing all of the workforce toward delivery of vital metrics.
+ Salary staff (including Traffic, Security and Inventory.
+ UAW Hourly Employees
+ Managing operational budgets and business plans.
You'll have...
Minimum Requirements:
+ 5+ Years - Knowledge and experience with Parts, Supply & Logistics (PS&L) Vital Few Metrics.
+ 5+ Years - Extensive background and success with building relationships and working with the UAW.
+ Extensive and detailed experience with Synchronous Flow Process (SFP) and just in time processing.
+ Strong Interpersonal Skills.
+ Dedicated, Passionate, Self-Motivated, Creative and Critical Thinker, Decision Maker.
+ Proven leadership experience to develop our future leaders for DPA parts advantage environment.
+ Have the ability to communicate effectively with facing dealers and sales regions to identify opportunities to maximize customer satisfaction and loyalty.
+ Ability to manage and direct the operation toward continuous improvement and Best in Class network performance in: Safety, Quality, Efficiency, Cost and Velocity.
+ SAP, MMP, SFP and other PS&L unique systems.
+ Supply Chain, Inventory Management, Warehousing and Transportation.
+ Manage to deadlines, timelines with high degree of planned and unplanned variables and complexities.
+ Interaction with all levels of management across diverse functions.
+ Drive for results, analytical skills, business acumen and ability to work independently and collaboratively with our partners.

+ Extensive Distribution Operations experience in the Daily Parts Advantage (DPA) environment.
+ Ford Truths and Operations Competencies.
+ BA/BS preferred
