What you'll do...
Ford Motor Company Model e Supply Chain organization is looking for an experienced Supply Chain category professional to join our Digital Technology Sourcing team for Electronic Modules. The team is composed of Purchasing/Technical Experts who, along with our Engineering, Supplier Technical Assistance, and Manufacturing teams will help ensure world class delivery by our supply base. The candidate will interact with Suppliers and Ford Sites globally.
In this critical role, you will:
+ Work in a high performing Electronics Purchasing team to ensure security of supply of fans, injected molding, connectors, Antennas, heat shields, EMI shielding and other electromechanical components and solutions for our next generation Electronic Modules.
+ Establish/strengthen supplier relationships, enabling Ford to better align with and influence supplier technology roadmaps.
+ Develop purchasing strategies for various components l fans, injected molding, connectors, Antennas, heat shields, EMI shielding and other electromechanical components technologies.
+ Lead and issue RFQ’s to source electromechanical components for next generation Electronic Modules.
+ Collaborate with Product Development to source components meeting technical and quality requirements to allow delivery of state-of-the-art Smart connected vehicles
+ Engage supplier partners at the executive and corporate level to develop strong partnerships. Hold regular Business reviews with suppliers.
+ Manage Supplier emerging significant issues (supply issues, Quality, Cost etc.) and drive internal risk mitigation. Champion continuous improvement activities within the Purchasing team (including bureaucracy/efficiency improvement).
+ Support current production programs for commercial issues in a timely, effective, and competitive manner for protection of supply and cost validation.
+ Responsible for special projects on a time-to-time basis for continuous improvement and to develop processes and working guidelines within the team.
+ Drive data collection for market and competitive landscape for electromechanical components.
You'll have...
+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/Chemical or Industrial) or Business/Supply Chain
+ 5+ years of experience in automotive, consumer electronics, appliance, or industrial fields
+ 5+ years of experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Engineering

+ Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to build strong and effective relationships across technical and business teams globally.

+ Possess excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.

This position is a salary grade 8.
