Accounting Manager - SSC

This role reports to the Director, Group Accounting and provides services to the Americas region. The person in this role will be viewed as a key leader in the month-end close process, providing guidance on accounting topics, and evaluating results for accuracy. This person will partner with business finance to provide collaborative support to the Americas business entities.

Key Tasks

Oversee the process of the month-end close to ensure reporting is delivered by deadlines

Performs financial analysis and ensures accounts are reconciled, journal entries approved

Participate in the development of accounting procedures to improve efficiency and control over financial reporting

Compile information for regulatory requirements and audits

Work with external auditors to provide requests and ensure understanding or risks tested to complete the audit efficiently

Work with stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely reporting within financial statements.

Ensure internal controls are followed in accordance with policy

Review and institute ways to streamline processes across the region to reduce workload

Your Background

Bachelor's degree in accounting

7+ years of experience

Strong understanding of US GAAP and IFRS

Large ERP system, Microsoft Dynamics or Microsoft AX is a plus

Understanding of Accounting and Financial processes including risk and financial controls

Management of staff – at least 5 years

Other qualifications or experiences.
