The general clerk provides clerical support to the Materion Natural Resources facility. The clerk performs weekly payroll, reconciliations, filing, report preparation and distribution and other duties as assigned. This position reports directly to the Human Resources Business Partner.

You will have the opportunity to:

+ Process weekly payroll including data entry, reconciliation and submittal of hourly and non-exempt timecards

+ Support use of time tracking system including user training and assistance

+ Participate on local Envinronmental Health and Safety Team and provide support on EHS initiatives; provide clerical support to the department

+ Provide accounts payable assistance as needed

+ Produce plant communications to relay targets on daily/weekly metrics

+ Participate in the planning and execution of employee related activities such as luncheons, company parties and wellness challenges

+ Maintain office supplies and handles daily incoming and outgoing mail and packages

Requirements

+ High school graduate or equivalent

+ Training in clerical aptitude and computer applications

+ Proficient use of the computer including general computer and network navigation, Microsoft Office 365 and the ability to learn new systems and applications quickly

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills

+ Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
