RESPONSIBILITIES

JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manages and supervises the day-to-day operations, administration, coordination and integration of services, programs, and activities of Rehab Services.

• Oversees and monitors programs, services and activities to ensure consistency with strategic plans, and goals and objectives of the Hospital.

• Ensures operations and functions are in compliance with regulatory requirements and the policies and procedures of the Hospital.

• Collaborates and coordinates functions, services and operations to ensure alignment with Rehab Services at Queen’s North Hawaii Community Hospital (QNHCH).

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Seeing, hearing, speaking, finger dexterity, sitting, standing, walking.

• Occasional: stooping/bending, squatting, twisting body, carrying usual weight of 20 pounds, reaching above/at/below shoulders, repetitive arm/hand motions, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods, gripping of an object.

• Infrequent: climbing stairs, crawling, kneeling, walking on uneven ground, lifting maximum weight of 50 pounds.

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.

• Some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:

• Current Hawaii State license as a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist or Speech Language Pathologist.

• Current BLS certification.

• Master’s degree preferred.

B. EXPERIENCE:

• Five (5) years clinical experience as a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist or Speech Language Pathologist in a combination of acute care and outpatient setting, preferably in a comparable facility.

• Two (2) years supervisory/leadership experience.
