The Financial Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day management and analysis of the financial duties and responsibilities at Miami Valley Hospital, and additional Premier Health Entities.** **The Financial Analyst is responsible for understanding the financial performance, key issues/concerns, and the communication of such to all levels of the management team.** **Specific duties include monthly data consolidation for reporting, variance analysis and reporting, monitoring and variance explanation of flex and fixed FTEs, ongoing tracking of margin improvement savings estimates, assistance with development of operating and capital budgets, completion of ROI analysis and various other projects and duties as assigned.** **This position will assist the finance and operations management team in moving toward financial and benchmarking goals.** **The individual is responsible for providing technical leadership and guidance to enable customers to be successful in contributing to the achievement of operations objectives.
This position will interact and communicate with the executive team, management team, and system support on budget and data driven projects and provide assistance to operations to improve, correct, and avoid budget problems.** **The position allows for the continued development of the employee’s business knowledge and skills.** **Technical computer skills have developed to the point that allows the employee to handle problems of advanced complexity with only general supervision.
This position will be responsible for any special projects that may arise as communicated by the Vice President of Acute Care Finance, Site Finance Directors and/or Hospital Executive team.
**Minimum Level of Education Required:** Bachelor's degree
Additional requirements:
• **Type of degree** : Business or related field
• **Preferred educational qualifications** : Accounting or Information Analytics related field. Progress towards or completion of a MBA, CPA or Project Management certification preferred.
**Preferred** **experience: 1+** years of Information/Financial/Analytics experience

• Proven effective interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with technical staff, operational and system level management, team leads, other employees, physicians, patients and visitors.
