Who You Are:
At QTS, our **Manager of Benefits** is a leadership role that is responsible for managing the full delivery of our U.S. benefits programs and the opportunity to be involved with our international benefits packages when needed. Leveraging a deep understanding and expertise of benefits practices, this person will continually optimize our offerings, ensuring they remain competitive, comprehensive, inclusive, and cost-effective. Getting a chance to lead activities such as Open Enrollment, managing our 401(k)-retirement plan, and serving as the primary point of contact for employee benefits questions, this role is critical to our success as a People Services team.
The Impact You Will Have:
Partnering closely with the Director of Global People Services Operations, others within our People Services Operations teams, our Wellbeing Champion, and the People Services Business Partner teams, you will have an opportunity to set the standard at QTS for how we care for our employees and their families.
What You Will Do:
+ Assist with the development and execution of QTS’ U.S. healthcare strategy in alignment with company goals, core values, and budget, and serve as an advisor on other international benefits offerings and their relevance to U.S. plans.
+ Manage benefit offerings to provide high-value health plans that attract and retain top talent while controlling costs and own key processes related, such as open enrollment, including system configuration, communications, and training.
+ Partner with our benefits broker and benefits vendors to ensure offerings are competitive and well-administered.
+ Manage the QTS 401(k) retirement program, including compliance testing, annual audits, and match true-ups.
+ Lead system configurations and supports such as the benefits modules and the coordinating plan setup and vendor file integrations.
+ Provide expert guidance on time-off policies, paid parental leave, and leave of absence programs.
+ Support employees with any benefits related inquiries, supporting new hire orientation, along with resolving any issues or discrepancies quickly and efficiently.
+ Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to employee benefits, including 5500 filings, ACA reporting, benefit enrollments, and billing reconciliations.
+ Prepare reports on benefit costs, utilization, and other relevant metrics.
+ Oversee the employee leave and accommodation program, including but not limited to, short-term and long-term disability claims, paid and/ or unpaid leaves (e.g., FMLA, ADA, personal leave, and other company-specific leave policies).
+ Partners with payroll to ensure accurate tracking of leave-related pay and benefits.
What You Will Need to be Successful (basic qualifications):
+ Bachelor's degree in business administration, Human Resources, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
+ 6-8+ years of experience managing or administering benefits programs.
+ In-depth knowledge of FMLA, ADA, PWFA, USERRA, and other state-specific leave laws.
+ 2+ years of experience with Workday plan configurations and open enrollment management.
+ Knowledge of HIPAA policy and confidentiality requirements.
+ Experience building communications and training plans around benefits offerings for a mid-sized organization.
+ Previous experience working in or closely with payroll organizations, and general knowledge of payroll practices is strongly preferred.

+ Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
