Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
The Senior Manager of Affiliate Growth & Optimizations plays a critical role in supporting the growth of CNBC Select’s affiliate revenue through link and network optimizations, commission rate improvements, and day-to-day affiliate partner management. This role focuses on executing affiliate strategy and operations within the financial product and personal finance review space (e.g., credit cards, investing, tax, insurance, loans).
The ideal candidate has a strong background in financial commerce, ideally at an established personal finance publisher or major affiliate network. This position reports to the Senior Director of Compliance & Growth Initiatives.
This is a hands-on role requiring a self-starter with strong analytical skills, the ability to manage cross-functional relationships, and a solid understanding of affiliate business models. The Senior Manager will help drive key revenue initiatives and collaborate closely with editorial, analytics, product, legal, audience development, and compliance teams.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Execute affiliate monetization and optimization strategies across CNBC Select content
+ Manage day-to-day operations and communications with affiliate partners, prospective partners, and networks
+ Analyze revenue performance and develop actionable insights to drive growth
+ Collaborate with affiliate networks to negotiate and maintain competitive commission rates
+ Evaluate and onboard new affiliate partners and networks in support of editorial and business goals
+ Maintain a calendar of commission changes and assess financial impact
+ Coordinate with cross-functional teams (edit, product, analytics, compliance, legal) to implement and QA monetization updates
+ Deliver regular reports and performance insights to internal stakeholders

+ 5+ years of experience in affiliate marketing, partner management, or commerce operations at a publisher or affiliate network
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
+ Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, with experience analyzing affiliate revenue and performance data
+ Direct experience managing affiliate partnerships or network relationships
+ Strong communication and collaboration skills across teams and departments
+ Highly detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills
+ Proactive, data-driven problem solver with a strong sense of ownership
+ Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities
+ Strong business judgment and understanding of digital media and commerce models
