    The Opportunity:

    CACI is seeking a highly skilled Systems Safety Engineer to support the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) PMA-261 Heavy Lift Helicopter Program Office. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the safety and airworthiness of critical naval aviation systems. As a Systems Safety Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and airworthiness of heavy lift helicopter systems throughout their lifecycle. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify, assess, and mitigate safety risks associated with aircraft systems, subsystems, and components.

    Responsibilities:

    • Participate in System Safety Working Groups (SSWG) and technical interchange meetings

    • Contribute to the development of Permanent and Interim Flight Clearances

    • Conduct safety assessments and hazard analyses

    • Support risk management processes and documentation

    • Assist in the development of safety-related technical documentation

    • Review and contribute to NATOPS materials from a safety perspective

    • Support the drafting of Grounding Bulletins and Red Stripe Memos

    • Provide safety input on engineering change proposals and technology improvements

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field

    • 7+ years experience in systems safety engineering, preferably in naval aviation

    • Knowledge of DoD/Navy safety standards and processes

    • Familiarity with airworthiness and flight clearance processes

    • Experience with risk assessment and hazard analysis techniques

    • Strong analytical and technical writing skills

    • Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance

    The proposed salary range for this position is:

    $108,400 - 227,500 USD
