    Standard but flexible 40 hr week, 8-5, M-F.

     

    Remote up to 2 days per week once a comfort level is established.

    JOB SUMMARY

    The Senior Staff Accountant, under the direction of the Accounting Manager, is responsible for the capital approval process, monthly capitalization, recording and reconciliation of fixed assets, bonds, and leases. In addition, this position will prepare and execute assigned general ledger journal entries and reconciliations during both the month and yearly closings.

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND SCOPE

    • Prepare and execute monthly additions to the Fixed Assets and Capital Projects systems.

    • Properly record depreciation expense and lease adjustments/ payments.

    • Participate in the month-end close process, reconciling assigned accounts and preparing journal entries.

    • Reconcile the fixed asset ledger to general ledger monthly.

    • Assist in YE audit process, including the corporation’s annual physical inventory.

    • Assists in the annual capital budgeting process; including responsibility for maintaining the capital approval process and tracking of capital requests.

    • Reconcile capital tracking reports to general ledger monthly and provide updated reports to administration.

    • Maintain a Schedule of Capital Leases within the Lease Query system. This includes new lease additions, renewals, any updates or changes needed, as well processing all monthly capital lease payments.

    • Assist UNC Pardee Directors, Managers, and fellow senior team members on various projects or tasks as assigned.

    • Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Required

    + **Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business or related**

    + **Demonstrated understanding and application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).**

    Preferred

    + **Five (5) years of experience working in an accounting or related business role.**

    + **Previous healthcare experience**

    + **Experience with INFOR and Lease Query valued.**
