    Summary:

    Meta’s Product Content Engineering team is responsible for the content experiences across platforms and products. PCE works in close partnership with engineering, product, and partnerships teams to improve the discovery and distribution of content to drive value for users at scale. The work is time-sensitive and innovative, situated at the intersection of content expertise and Meta’s industry-leading ranking and delivery systems.The Content Engineer should be experienced in content production, strategy and analysis to execute across a variety of projects, ideally in multiple languages. The main function of a content engineer is to define and execute a content strategy that aims to significantly improve the product experience for consumers. The ideal Content Engineer has technical expertise combined with a capacity to drive change in ambiguous, fast-paced and high growth environments. They will be expected to perform data analytical work, comprehend complex recommendation systems, and test hypotheses while driving alignment across a wide cross-functional team to deliver business impact at scale.

    Content Engineer Responsibilities:

    1. Prioritize fast execution across content optimization experiments and analyses with the goal of delivering insights and recommendations to improve both user and creator experiences on-platform

    2. Understand technical product needs and translate those into actionable direction and readouts for a content-focused cross-functional team

    3. Understand Meta’s strategic and competitive position and deliver content strategies and product solutions that are aligned with our mission and recognized best in the industry

    4. Perform data exploration and analysis to produce actionable insights and reports for our content, engineering, strategy, and product teams

    5. Integrate content and market analysis into product requirements to improve engineer output and enhance both creator and user satisfaction

    6. Manage efforts to drive improved performance from creators in North American markets through cross-functional projects with Ranking, Product, and Partnerships to drive top-line goals

    7. Define emergent opportunities and drive impact via execution in highly ambiguous areas. Agile support and flexibility is required

    Minimum Qualifications:

    8. 6+ years of professional experience in content or social media management, journalism, or equivalent with combined experience in software or technology industry, and experience partnering directly with product teams

    9. Demonstrated understanding of recommendation systems

    10. Demonstrated cross-functional collaboration

    11. Effective and clear communication skills

    12. Proficiency in the Google suite of products, including Google sheets

    Preferred Qualifications:

    13. BA or BS in Computer Science or related field

    14. 5+ years of work experience in product management, data analytics, or content operations in a leading content platform

    15. 2+ years of experience working closely with ranking teams

    16. 2+ years of proven people management experience

    17. Demonstrated expertise in data science or data analysis with proven experience in creating queries, generating complex spreadsheets, and building dashboards

    18. Proficiency in SQL-based languages, and experience with Python or R preferred

    19. Professional working fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish or Portuguese preferred

    20. Experience in data visualization and tools such as Tableau

    21. MBA or Masters degree

    Public Compensation:

    $129,000/year to $187,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
