    Full Time, Day Shift (80 hours biweekly)

     

    Hours: Monday - Friday, Day shift with some nights

     

    Rotation: On call rotation

    General Summary

    Performs all necessary tasks to ensure efficient operation and quality of care at the designated facility.

    Essential Functions:

    + Assists with the day to day operations of the designated facility to ensure efficient operations and compliance with all regulatory guidelines.

    + Collects and monitors PI indicators at designated facilities. Works with Manager and Medical staff to achieve and maintain thresholds.

    + Maintains positive communications with assistant directors, medical director and office staff to accomplish Sleep Medicine goals.

    + Performs MSLT, MWT, and day Polysomnograms procedures at all Sleep Medicine facilities.

    + Troubleshoots equipment when minor technical problems occur.

    + Responsible for taking after hours call for technical staff.

    + Works in concert with the Director, Managers and Medical Director to maintain Sleep Center's AASM accreditation status and to develop and implement appropriate clinical services.

    + Performs all functions of a Polysomnographic Technologist.

    Common Expectations:

    + Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, or arrange for the provisions of appropriate care, for pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric population of patients. Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status. Interprets the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements.

    + Ensures and documents that Age Specific, HIPPA and Patient Rights needs are being met as described in the departmental policies and procedures.

    + Supervises technical personnel and assists with maintaining personnel records. Assists with technologist personnel/ payroll matters, including time keeping, performance appraisals and employee competencies.

    + Oversees training of new technicians/technologists at designated facilities. Responsible for training, verification of competencies and the on-going maintenance of competencies.

    + Maintains BRPT registration and attends mandatory in-services.

    + Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assessment, safety, environmental and infection control standards.

    + Manages inventory at designated facilities to meet the needs of the facility and meet budgetary goals.

    + Develops and maintains policies and procedures for Sleep Medicine.

    + Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters, teamwork, and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Education:

    + Certificate Program Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training Required

    + Bachelors Degree Preferred

    Work Experience:

    + 3 years Experience performing polysomnographic procedures. Required

    + Previous supervisory experience. Preferred

    Licenses:

    + Registered Polysomnographic Technologist Upon Hire Required and

    + Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required

    Courses and Training:

    + Successful completion of a polysomnography program of no less than one-year duration associated with a state licensed and/or a nationally accredited educational facility or equivalent experience and documented proficiency in all competencies required of a Polysomnographic Technician. Upon Hire Required
