As a Senior Demand Planner, you will manage the forecasting process for the Sweet Snacking category at Kellanova. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Integrated Business Planning Demand, you will serve as a liaison between cross-functional business partners to ensure that all forecasts are accurate and necessary inputs are gathered. This role can be based in Battle Creek, MI or Chicago, IL and will work on a hybrid model. Individuals located in the Chicago area are expected to be in Battle Creek quarterly.
Lead the demand planning process by synthesizing data from multiple sources to identify risks and opportunities. With a data-driven mindset, you'll influence decisions across all levels, including senior leadership. We're looking for someone ready to thrive in a fun and flexible culture.
A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing
+ Forecasting Expert – Create, develop and produce demand forecasts through reviewing historical sales trends as well as marketing, sales and financial forecasts. Carefully prepare forecast data and evaluate results. Using your in-depth understanding of statistical forecasting models and variables, you will follow / identify forecasting principles and maintain forecasting information in the system.
+ Collaborating and Guiding – Work with the supply chain team, providing updates and analysis to promote continuous improvement. Partner with sales, marketing, finance and purchasing to ensure accurate current and long-term forecasting. Present suggestions to other cross-functional teams regarding demand / forecasts and provide direction to other demand planners.
+ Analyzing and Measuring – Analyze internal demand stream information, categorizing it according to demand patterns and inputting sales / marketing intelligence into forecast systems. Prepare and present various analyses of forecasting to different business unit leaders. Bring your in-depth understanding of consumption and shipment trends to successfully lead the monthly consensus process for your categories.
We’re Looking for Someone With
+ Detailed understanding of the objectives of the advanced forecasting and planning functions
+ High proficiency in SAP or similar database application technology
+ Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Access or similar software
+ Strong presentation and influencing skills to communicate with leadership regarding business
Compensation
The annual salary range is $104,200 - $136,800, which is based on various factors such as location, experience and skill. Discretionary bonuses based on company and individual performance are also available.
