    Required Skills:

    Software Engineering Manager Responsibilities:

    1. Drive engineering effort, communicate cross functionality, and be a subject matter expert.

    2. Perform technical software engineering duties and oversee team of engineers.

    3. Utilize data driven decision making and evaluating designs and their complexities

    4. Coordinate cross functional effort efforts

    5. And help with recruiting.

    6. Manage the team that built and maintained software infrastructure, systems and applications, and grow the team based on need.

    7. Translate business requirements using complex methods/ models to determine appropriate system solutions.

    8. Evaluate existing infrastructure capacity, performance, plan for future requirements, prepare proposals.

    9. Evaluate technology/ tools and identify prospective solutions.

    10. Work within a cross functional team to provide technical expertise in the design and planning of software systems solutions.

    11. Provide impact analysis on infrastructure due to Projects/ Change Requests.

    12. Build solutions with Availability, Backup, Capacity planning, Performance, Redundancy, Reliability, Scalability, and Supportability while prudently managing risk and costs.

    13. Participate to develop and manage ongoing operational needs of the back end distributed systems.

    14. Act as a sounding board and as a consultant and leader to develop infrastructure solutions for operational simplicity.

    15. Promote organization process that maximizes organization’s productivity.

    16. Lead and direct to prepare governing principles to guide decision making pertinent to infrastructure architecture.

    17. Develop and execute communication plus education plan for infrastructure architecture.

    18. Maximize the performance, uptime, and supportability of Meta’s cache infrastructure.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Minimum Qualifications:

    19. Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.

    20. Requires 4 years of experience in the following:

    21. 1. Software Engineering, including hands on technical management

    22. 2. Coding in one of the following languages: C++, Java, or PHP

    23. 3. Recruiting and managing software engineering teams

    24. 4. Supporting & growing engineering managers, & supporting large teams of 40+ engineers

    25. 5. Setting strategy for E2E products grounded on deep technical understanding and

    26. 6. Driving complex cross-organizational collaborations for efforts spanning 80+ engineers.

    Public Compensation:

    $300,761/year to $339,130/year + bonus + equity + benefits
