    Title:** **Cytotechnologist

    + **Facility:** **Mease Countryside**

    + **Location:** Safety Harbor, FL

    + **Status:** Full Time, Exempt: No

    + **Shift Hours:** 8:00AM - 4:30PM, Monday - Friday

    + **Weekend Work:** None

    + **On Call:** No

    Cytotechnologist Responsibilities:

    + Evaluates and diagnosis non-GYN cases for Pathologist review

    + Evaluates and diagnosis GYN cases.

    + Performs Rapid On-Site Evaluations for FNA procedures including EBUS and EUS Guided procedures, Robotic assisted Endoscopic procedures, CT Guided and US Guided procedures.

    + Knowledge of multiple Cytology Reporting Systems.

    + Excellent inter- and intra-departmental communications skills.

    + Maintains equipment, supplies, and instrumentation.

    + Ability to assist in the Cytopreparatory lab, as needed.

    + Works independently and in a team.

    + Demonstrate organizational, time management, interpersonal, written, and verbal skills.

    + Use computer skills appropriate to position.

    + Needs to understand medical terminology.

    Certification & Licensure:

    + Required - ASCP Certified Technologist in Cytology

    + Required- State of Florida License Clinical Laboratory Personnel - Cytotechnologist

    Education:

    + Required - Bachelor's in related field

    + Bachelor's requirement can be waived if certified prior to 1985

    Experience:

    + Preferred - 2 years Cytology experience.

    + Hospital experience not required, training available.
