    + **Status:** Full Time, Exempt: No

    + **Shift Hours:** 2:30PM -11:30PM, Varies

    + **Weekend Work:** Occasional

    + **On Call:** No

    Sterile Processing Operations Coordinator Responsibilities

    + Ensures the timely and efficient completion of instrumentation and case carts for use in the O.R. and C.V.O.R. by monitoring the daily activities of the Sterile Processing Department.

    + Identifies orientation and education needs of staff.

    + Assists in designing and developing programs to promote education and enhance their technical knowledge.

    + Assists the department manager with the development and implementation of new programs and systems.

    + Screens candidates for replacement positions and participates in the completion of annual performance and competency evaluations.

    + Promotes communication and collaboration among staff to enhance end products provided to areas serviced.

    + Responsible for a pro-active quality programs, reporting of quality plan, goals and monitors for compliance.

    + Assumes responsibility for the department in the absence of the manager.

    + Acts as preceptor, mentor and resource in support of department team members.

    + Required specific skills also includes operational skills.

    Certification & Licensure:

    + Required - Sterile Processing Certification

    + Required - CBSPD Certified Surgical Instrument Specialist

    Education:

    + High School or Equivalent

    Experience:

    + Preferred - Hospital Experience
